Poetry and Technology

April, Hannah, Karen, Ezra, Betty, Hannah, and Breanna volunteered to be the teen subjects of a class project for graduate student Will Isley from NC State University.  The topic was poetry and technology.  The teens each used a laptop with VoiceThread, an expressive tool that enables students to post responses online creating mini-podcasts.  Will plans to produce a video report on his project.  We look forward to seeing the Eva Perry teens up in lights.

Will is a student in Dr. Cris Crissman’s Teaching Literature with Young Adults course.  The Eva Perry Mock Printz Club has for ten years now served as literary consultants for the course, co-producers of the Melinda Awards for Young Adult Literature, and volunteers in students’ action learning projects.
