Fire by Kristin Cashore

Fire_Summary: In a kingdom called the Dells, Fire is the last human-shaped monster, with unimaginable beauty and the ability to control the minds of those around her, but even with these gifts she cannot escape the strife that overcomes her world.

  1. I loved this book. It’s too predictable to really be a Printz honor, but I definitely think it’s good for Teens Top Ten. The concept of the monsters was really interesting and I loved the characters. There were a lot of little twists that really kept the story going. In my opinion the quality and originality of this story far exceeded Graceling. As I liked both novels I’m looking forward to reading more Kristin Cashore.

  2. Oh man this book was flipping amazing. It made me scream, it made me cry. For at least 20 pages I was probably crying. The author made you grow in love with the characters over the course of the book. It was intense. Personally. I was rather happy it was predictable, I would of been so mad if it didn’t turn out how it did. This is one of those books you read, because you love the characters and you KNOW how the ending is going to be, and you just can’t wait to see it wrap up nicely. This could DEFINITELY be a teen’s top ten book. I cannot wait for more books by this author. I absolutely adore her writing style!
