  1. Another great book by Tamora Pierce! I absolutely loved this book for the characters and the writing, the plot line. Everything. I don’t think this will win an award since it’s nothing really new or special. But it’s definitely a great read for those who love fantasy. =]

  2. I was really disappointed in this book. Having been a Tamora Pierce fan for years I expected to enjoy this book greatly, instead I found that I had to force myself through it. The mystery of this book was poorly written and it was far to obvious who the culprit was. Also many of the more interesting characters (In my opinion at least) were taken out of the plot for all but 40 pages of this 500 page book. I wish I could praise it, but unfortunately I couldn’t.
