  1. i finally finished this book today after a week of trying to get through this. I was very disappionted in this book. Normally I love all of L’Engle’s books, but this one was just blah. If I gave the book a color, it’d be boring grey. It seemed like there was no plot line, nor was it teaching me anything interesting. The characters were very flat as well. Maybe it’s the time period, I’m not sure. I just couldn’t get into this book, and I’m not very happy with it. I wouldn’t even give it a fun read. This is the book that I would only read because of the author.
