We took a field trip Friday to see Laurie Halse Anderson speaking at Quail Ridge Books in Raleigh. She was on tour promoting her new book Wintergirls, and she was just awsome. No wonder she writes such great stuff!

It is a sub-unit of the ALA, or American Library Association. This is a great honor and very well deserved. We are so proud of you Valerie!
